Pakistan’s fast bowler, Mohammad Irfan is suffering from hip fracture and might miss out the Test Matches against Sri Lanka, which will be starting from December 31. Irfan picked an injury during 2nd T20 against South Africa in the UAE and eventually, didn’t complete his quota of four overs.

Irfan must be handled with care so he can play maximum cricket for Pakistan.

Irfan missed out the Pakistan’s return tour to South Africa and was dropped from the recently announced T20 squad for the Sri Lanka series. He was expected to make a comeback for the Sri Lanka Tests but the severity of his injury might not allow him to do so.

Irfan partnered his fellow pacer, Junaid Khan in the home Test series against South Africa but his injury might open the gates for Umar Gul, who has been playing domestic cricket but Gul’s form and fitness will decide his future.

Irfan’s height helps him to extract the extra bounce but at the same time, it creates an extra burden on his legs. The seven foot tall should be handled with care so he can play maximum cricket for his side.
